Styling rooms, this individual design clearly distinguishes
itself from all other types of wood. All bamboo products are
ideally suited for modern or classic furnishings. PLYBOO®
Flooring offers perfect harmony with all your furnishings,
as all raw materials are sold by the same company.
All raw bamboo canes used by PLYBOO®
are marked at an early age, in order to determine their exact
age later on. After the careful and selective felling, the
canes are processed immediately. Only the outer shell is used
for processing. PLYBOO® only utilizes
selected, straight middle pieces of first class quality. The
glueing method determines the finished product. By pressing
horizontally or vertically layed bamboo lamella, a horizontal
or vertical lamella structure as well as solid wooden panels
in 3- or 5- layers structure are formed.
Bamboo is an ideal alternative to endangered exotic woods
and has excellent technical qualities, which are in no way
inferior to domestic woods. Especially in the beauty industry
bamboo offers extra benefits with its natural-ecological karma.
PLYBOO® bamboo products are produced from specially
selected raw materials, all of the same age. Special environmentally
friendly glues and the most modern production techniques disinguish
us from cheaper discounters. Our list of references illustrates
the confidence that architects and builders have in the quality
of PLYBOO® products. PLYBOO®
flooring - floors are harder than oak (an average Brinell hardness
of 4.0 N/mm in comparison to oak and beech approx 3.4 N/mm
or Canadian maple approx 3.8N/mm. Swelling and shrinking tendencies
of bamboo are less than in other common types of wood (beech/oak/maple),
the "working" of the flooring is therfore less. Joints
in the flooring floors are smaller. Due to its special structure
(bamboo has a fibre structure which only runs in one direction)
and its extreme hardness, PLYBOO® flooring
flooring offers excellent value-to-last a lifetime.
Bamboo is extremely fast growing (up to 1 m per day). After
5 yrs the bamboo cane is ready for felling. Bamboo grows and
reproduces itself by its root system. For each cane felled
a new one grows. Clear cutting and the consequent erosion
of soil is impossible. Also the Panda Bear is by no means
endangered by the use of bamboo, since he feeds himself on
a different type of the over 1500 known varieties of bamboo
which we use for our production.
Additionally there are vast regenerating bamboo forests worldwide.
Estimates are around 30 million hectares. Due to its growth,
bamboo produces a lot of biological mass. This is of great
importance, for each bamboo produces more oxygen than it needs
for its growth, therefore bamboo is an important filter of
CO2 and contributes to a better world climate.
The Bamoo Information Centre of the Netherlands is
the only supplier worldwide with a FSC comparable certification
by the INBAR (www.inbar.int),
the international parent organization for bamboo and rattan.
We would be pleased to send you the original letter of INBAR:
